A library project in today’s fast paced digital society requires a design to be connective, adaptive, and functional which progressively resonates with its environment. The micro-library along with the landscape serves as an anchor of culture to the site as it sits on a pedestal. It lifts and opens out towards the seaport with its sloped green roof.

By integrating paths which dissect the site into green and multipurpose spaces, the design provides an engaging connection to and through the site.
The microlibrary and grand stair are anchored in a central location of the site. The rest of the site is dissected into green and multipurpose spaces, provides an engaging connection to and through the site. Mixing hardscape and softscape in the piazzale allows for pedestrians, micromobility devices, and emergency vehicles. With many opportunities for community programming, more people interact with the iconic Porta Siberia landmark.
